Uganda U18 needed a great comeback to overcome hosts Kenya on a 2-1 score after a 1-1 draw in the normal time in finals of CECAFA U18.
In the game played at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium on Friday, both teams failed to penetrate through in the opening fourty five minutes.
The second half saw goal scoring opportunities being created as both teams were hunting for a winner.
Kenya broke the deadlock first in the 66th minute through Syphas Owuor.
Uganda levelled matters 8 minutes later through Abas Kyeyune.
SC Villa youngster Hakim Mutebi gifted Uganda a winner just seconds after the start of extra time.
Kenya continued to hunt for an equaliser but Uganda’s defence was equal to the challenge.
