The Uganda national American Football team ‘The Generals’ were officially flagged off to Nairobi, Kenya for the return leg of the Africa Zone Series.
The Uganda Generals lost to White Rhinos of Kenya in the first leg match played at Legends Rugby ground in Lugogo and they hope to overturn the score with a victory away from home.
The American Football Federation of Uganda (AFFU) president George Okeng urged the team to put up a fighting spirit as they take on the White Rhinos.
“The team is in good shape after engaging in through training sessions which have been centered on correcting the mistakes we faced in the first leg. I am hopeful that the boys are going to put up a fighting spirit and we come back home with victory.” said Okrng.
The Uganda Generals match against Kenya will be played on Sunday 17th December buty they are also graced with a friendly match against Ivory which will help them in their preparations ahead of the upcoming continental qualifiers next year.
