SUPL: Kitara FC come from a goal down to haunt Wakiso Giants

Wakiso Giants 1-3 Kitara FC – Kabaka Kyabagu Stadium

Mbarara City 1-0 Arua Hill – Kakyeka Stadium

Kitara FC came from a goal down to defeat Wakiso Giants 3-1 in the Startimes Uganda Premier League match played at Kabaka Kyabagu Stadium in Wakiso.

Second half goals from Denis Omedi, Brian Aheaebwa and Jude Ssemugabi earned Kitara the deserved points as they remained unbeaten extending their winning run to five games in the season as they are yet to drop points.

Titus Tito Ssematimba scored in the first half to put Wakiso Giants in the lead with a cool finish but all his efforts went in noticed as they lost the game on return with team mistakes costing them second half.

Second half substitute Tom Masiko recklessly lost possession in the build up to Kitara FC’s second goal as he gave away the ball to Donato Okello who released Jasper Aheebwa for a cross headed in by Brian Aheaebwa.

Goalkeeper Bashir Ssekagya made it worse for the purple sharks as they were up for an equaliser as he made an howler losing the ball to Jude Ssemugabi who scored his first goal for Kitara as he took the tally to a 3-1 score.

Kitara FC now sit joint top at the Startimes Uganda Premier League table with 15 points alongside BUL FC who are also yet to lose a game from the first five they have played.

Kitara FC will return to action as they host Maroons in Masindi whereas Wakiso Giants will take a short trip to Kitende to face Vipers SC.
