Pepsi University Football League: Busitema, Kumi Share Spoils

Busitema University 1-1 Kumi University – Forest Ground, Busitema.

Action in Pepsi University Football League took place with only one game of Busitema and Kumi University ending in a 1-1 draw. Steven Nyalimo opened the scoring for the visitors with an own goal from David Opolot guiding Busitema to a point.

Busitema came into the game targeting maximum points after suffering a humiliating result of a 7-1 result to UCU in Mukono in their last game.

Meanwhile Kumi University came into the game targeting their first point after losing both their opening games to UCU and KIU.

It was the Visitors that broke the deadlock first through Nyalimo Stephen in the 22nd minute.

In the 42nd minute, an own goal from David Opolot handed Busitema a crucial equaliser before the half time break.

As the second half commenced, none of the teams proved to be the better side and so the 1-1 score at full time.

The development means Busitema pushed to second place with four points beneath UCU who have sofar collected nine points in the first place.

KIU comes third with 3 points while KUMI comes fourth with only one point.

Action resumes today on Thursday 19th, October when Makerere University will be welcoming Muni University.
