Byekwaso names final squad for international friendlies

Interim Uganda Cranes Coach Morley Byekwaso has named his final 24 man squad for the upcoming International friendlies where they will face Mali and Zambia.

Morley Byekwaso have named 24 players including 14 local based and 10 foreign based.

As it has been a rare case, Morley Byekwaso have given chances to players like Dennis Omedi, Bright Anukani and Usama Kizza Arat who were not considered at all by Micho.

Morley named 3 goalkeepers, 9 defenders, 7 midifielders and 5 forwards.

Uganda Cranes will be taking on Mali on October 13th and so the team is expected to depart on Tuesday morning to Bamoko.

On October 17th, Uganda will be taking on Zambia in their second International friendly.

Goalkeepers: Isima Bin Rashid Watenga (Golden Arrors FC, South Africa), Joel Mutakubwa (BUL FC), Jack Komakech (Vipers SC).

Defenders: Gavin Kizito (SC Villa), Livingstone Mulondo (Vipers SC), Abdul Aziz Kayondo (Hapoel Tel Aviv FC, Isreal), Kenneth Ssemakula (SC Villa), Ibrahim Juma (CD Leganes, Spain), Elvis Bwomono (IBV Vestamanyaer, Iceland), Halid Lwaliwa (FK Bregalnica, North Macedonia), Hudu Mulikyi (URA FC), Enoch Walusimbi ( URA FC).

Midifielders: Khalid Aucho (Yanga Africans, Tanzania), Rogers Mugisha (Gor Mahia, Kenya), Ibrahim Kasule (New York Red Bulls II USA), Elvis Ngode (SC Villa), Bright Anukani (Vipers SC), Laban Tibita (URA FC), Arafat Kizza Usama (KCCA FC).

Forwards: Milton Karisa (Vipers SC), Richard Basangwa (Wadi Degla SC, Egypt), Denis Omedi (Kitara FC), Lawrence Tezikya (BUL FC), Rogers Kassim Mato ( Sanliurfaspor FC, Turkey).
