Ssemuddu Muzamir put up a great fight to register a massive victory against Richard Kasujja in the third round after the Referee stopped contest (RSC) decision.
Ssemuddu was dominant it the first round as he put Kasujja to the recieving hence being put on a count twice as early as the first round which saw Ssemuddu have an early edge in the fight.
In the second round Kasujja tried to gain momentum and managed to limit the damage control but it was too late with the Kalerwe breed seeing him off with a cut on the upper left eye which needed attention from the medical team.
In the third round, Kasujja started up early as he threw a couple of punches which landed successful and in the process Ssemuddu lost his teeth from that heavy straight punch.
Kasujja later lost his pick as he let Ssemuddu dominate him in his best round on the night and recieved straight punches for a double count after going to the ground, this forced the referee to stop contest as he protected the boxers health.
This left Kasujja unconvinced as he felt he had the gas to continue and finish his fight but the damage was already done. He spoke to the media as he expressed his ungratefulness about the judges.
“It was a great fight but I was not convinced with the referee who was always counting for me even at the times when i was the one who landed a straight head punch to Ssemuddu.” Said Kasujja
“I had the fight under control but the referee stopped contest which I don’t agree with, this has demotivated me so much and at some times I feel like quitting the game of boxing and turn my focus on the bussines side.” He added.
For Ssemuddu who commanded a huge fan base was just thankful to the massive support recieved and also affirmed his words as the Mr Take Over.
“I would like to thank my fans for the support they have shown me today, it was amazing and it helped me as I defeated Kasujja. He had doubt but today I have shown him that I am the take over.”
On losing his teeth in the fight, Ssemuddu felt that it was a lucky punch from Kasujja which he did not see coming but he remained focused and claimed victory.
“I lost my teeth today but these things happen even the great boxers we know lose their theth and some even lose their eyes, It wasn’t much a big deal though I fell into the luck punch but I did not lose focus.”
