UFL: Kasule Strikes late to guide IUIU past Victoria University

The Pepesi University Football League took action on Monday 25th with IUIU scoring late to secure maximum points against Victoria University.

As it is not a usual case, the game which was meant to start at 3pm instead started at 4:05pm after Victoria University claimed that IUIU was playing three unverified players.

Later the game started after IUIU bringing proof that there three players were verified by AUUS.

IUIU could get an opener in the 38th minute through a penalty kick but Tamusula Ismail who took the responsible instead pressed at a low post.

Three minutes later, Victoria University was also awarded a penalty after their Foward Ochwo Sylva was fouled.

Amabe Joshua who took the responsibility to take the penalty for Victoria University instead took it over the bar.

Second half resumed, though Victoria University appeared to be a better side with goal attempts in the 57th and 73rd minute thanks to the outstanding IUIU goalkeeper Musasizi Shadat.

In the 90th minute, IUIU had a strong attempt with Denis Odongo shooting but was saved by goalkeeper Yusuf which later turned to be a rebounder which Kasule Moses capitalized well.

The development means IUIU and MUBS occupy the 1st and 2nd place with 3 points while Victoria University and YMCA occupy the 3rd and 4th place.

Action resumes today on Tuesday 26th when Kampala University will be hosting Bishop Stuart University.
