Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Charles Lukwago have finally joined Ethiopian outfit Hewassa City FC.
Charles Lukwago joins Hewassa City FC as a free agent following the expiration of his working contract at St George.
His new side Hewassa City FC is an Ethiopian Premier League side who have been Champions two times that is 2004 and 2007.
Hewassa City FC hopes Lukwago will boost the goalkeeping department as they will be seeking for a better next season.
While at St George in the last two seasons, Charles Lukwago helped the side win two consecutive Ethiopian Premier League.
Despite the last season where he was tampered by injuries, in his first season at St George, Lukwago was named the best goalkeeper of the league after his impressive performances that saw him finish the league with 19 clean sheets from 27 games.
Lukwago joins a list of Ugandan goalkeepers that are to trade in Ethiopian nest season, including Saidi Keni in Shashemene City, Robert Odongkara in Wolkite City and Nafian Alionzi in Mekelakeya SC.
Despite goalkeepers, other Ugandan players that feature in Ethiopia include Charles Musiige in Diire Dawa, Simon Peter Oketch in CBE and Geoffrey Wasswa in Ethiopia Coffee.
