Startimes UPL: URA FC, Kitara FC, NEC FC picks first home wins.

URA FC 2-0 Gaddafi FC – Mehta Grounds, Lugazi.

Kitara FC 1-0 UPDF FC – Masindi Sports Stadium.

NEC FC 5-0 Busoga United FC – MTN Omondi Stadium.

The Uganda Premier League took action today with all home teams picking up maximum points.

URA edged Gaddafi FC 2-0 at Mehta Grounds, Lugazi.

URA had came into the game after their goalless draw with UPDF and so had to put up a performance that would make their fans happy while at home.

New signing Moses Aliro opened the score for URA in the 30th minute thanks to a well delivered pass from teammate Hassan Kalega.

Gaddafi FC could respond immediately from a free kick but Custodian Denis Otim replied well.

In the 57th minute, defender Fesali doubled the lead for the tax collectors after Gaddafi’s custodian Andrew Ssekandi howled.

In other games, NEC FC humbled Busoga United on a 5-0 score at MTN Omondi Stadium.

Captain Marvin Nyanzi appeared twice on the score sheet as the other three goals were scored by Rashid Okocha, Brian Kayanja, and Allan Mugalu.

In other game played at Masindi Stadium, Kitara FC edged UPDF on a 1-0 courtesy of an own goal of Christopher Kamagu.

The development means, NEC FC and Kitara have maintained their 100% record while.

Meanwhile Gaddafi FC have failed to win any of their two opening games.
