Allan Okello officially unveiled as a Vipers player

Uganda Cranes player Allan Okello has joined Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC on three years employment contract.

Okello joins the Kitende based side as free agent after the termination of his contract at Algerian side Paradou AC at the beginning of the 2023/2024 season.

His move to Vipers has been influenced by the love he has from the club Patron Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa, this has also seen his unveiling held at his place after a successful meeting held between the two parties.

On completing his move to Vipers, Okello said: “I am so happy to join Vipers Sports Club! I am so excited to be here at this big club and l didn’t have to think twice when Vipers called me, l just knew l wanted to sign for the club. I can’t wait to get started with the team.”

Okello a product of the FUFA juniors league saw his development nurtured and raised at the Lugogo based side KCCA FC where he rose to the scenes as a 16 year old scoring a hattrick on his debut against Onduparaka in 2016/2017 season.

He helped the Kasasiro boys to a double in his first season as they clinched a league trophy and the Uganda Cup in his debut season, he went ahead to score 39 goals in 119 appearances in his first stint at KCCA FC before departing to Paradou AC.

Okello, who won the 2019 FUFA Male Player of the Year award, played 119 times for KCCA in the first stint where he scored 39 goals.

He joins in as the latest acquisition at Kitende after Grant Matsiko, Richard Matovu, Patrick Paul Mbowa, David Bagoole, Fumador Asiwome and Mohamed Salem Ekbad.
