The Masaza Cup 2022 defending champions Busiro start their second round campaign with an away visit to Mawokota a side which defeated them in the opening match Infront of the Kabaka.
The Busiro head coach Ibrahim Kirya has urged his players to remain focused and use the second round as a stepping stone if they are to qualify out of the group stages.
“We must pick positive results in the second round to enlighten our chances of qualifying out of the group stages, our target is to start with a win against Mawokota.”
“The team is in good shape and as you can see we have managed to work on our defending errors playing the last two games without conceding a goal.” Said Ibrahim Kirya.
We go to Buwama targeting to bring home a win despite the fact that both teams need the game but we Busiro need it more than Mawokota so our efforts are to see that we come back with a win.
Kirya will have to asses some of his player who suffered knocks in training including captain Agaku and goalkeeper Ssali and Bruno Mukwaya, Ogwang is on a suspension of two yellow cards.
Busiro sit fifth in the Muganzirwaza group with just five points and one win from the five game they have played.
Mawokota sit in the third place with 8 points just three below leaders Gomba who secured a massive away win in Ssese to move to 11 points.
Mawokota also are eager to fight their way back to winning ways as they host Busiro at Buwama playgrounds, they have gone three games without tasting victory and their 3-1 loss against Mawogola put them in difficult time as they now face competition to qualify out of the group.
Playing at home will be a huge advantage to coach Richard Malinga who seems to be under pressure after a poor tun of performance as they ended the first round.
