Walusimbi’s Vipers Deal Fall Through, Joins URA

Uganda Cranes defender Enock Walusimbi has joined URA FC, The-SportsNation can confirm

Earlier reports claimed that Walusimbi was also in talks with Vipers but the two parties failed to agree terms.

The defender wanted Sh100m as sign on fee, but Vipers’ Lawrence Mulindwa was instead giving him Sh70m to sign for three years.

He was even willing to accept Sh90m for two years, but Vipers wanted a longer period.

And strong reports indicate that Walusimbi has inked a two-year deal at URA.

This marks Walusimbi’s return to Uganda Premier League since leaving Express in 2022 for greener pastures in Scotland.

Then, after failing to impress Dundee United, the former Bright Stars defender joined Scottish lower division side Peterhead.

But playing time has been hard to come by at Peterhead before the club released the defender.

He has been featuring for Ffumbe in Buganda’s Bika tournament since last month
