UBCL: Ukasha Sends Sande to refereeing course after a unanimous victory

The Uganda Boxing Champions  League week six resumed on Saturday 15th July at Club Obligato with Matovu Ukasha defeating Sande Simon in the main fight of the night.

Ukasha came out victorious in a 5-0 unanimous decision as he proved his worth on the Bombers team in the welterweight category, he expressed his desire to improve on his scoring as he shifted focus on the Africa Elite Boxing Championships in Cameroon.

“The fight hasn’t been hard since the target is even Cameroon and Yaounde is just the start since I would love to be at the Olympics. I want to advice Sande to go and study a referee course since he understands how to make the decisions more than the playing it.” Said Ukasha.

“Today I saw that I have to improve on my scoring, currently my goals are quite many but it’s just start. out.” He added.

Sande Simon was left in disbelief as he thought he won all the five rounds after handing his opponent Ukasha several cuts in the face.

“In my opinion, I think I have won. I think I have proved to Ukasha that I am a better fighter and topped all the five rounds, I just don’t know how the Judges scored this fight. I left him with some cuts and bruises.” said Sande Simon

He later went on to thank the support he received from his area RDC of Nansana who was in attendance alongside the UBF president Moses Muhangi.

“I thank my President Muhangi, my RDC who was in attendance, my fans and everyone who has been there for me including the people of Nansana.”

The other exciting fight of the night saw the South Paw boxer Kimera Innocent started battered in the rings as he was no match of Amoko Innocent who claimed a 5-0 unanimous victory in the Elite Light Welterweight.
