Solomon Okwalinga Reunites with Brian Ssenyondo at Kitara

Newly promoted Uganda premier League side Kitara FC has officially unveiled attacking midfielder Solomon Okwalinga.

Okwalinga joins the Royals from Mbarara City and he was officially unveiled on Monday.

“Sounds like a real deal @Okwalingasolo17 let’s do this. Welcome to Kitara FC,” Kitara confrimed on their Tweeter account.”

Okwalinga has been at Mbarara City, a side he had rejoined in 2020 after ending his stay at Onduparaka.

His first stint at Mbarara City came in the 2018/19 season, joining from Syngery, where he started his career back then in 2013.

While at Mbarara City last season, he helped the Ankole Lions return to the Uganda Premier League as they finished second in the regular season of the FUFA Big League.

He is a proven player who has had stints at KCCA, Mbarara City, Onduparaka FC and Synergy.

At Kitara, he will be reuniting with his former coach Brian Ssenyondo, whom he worked with during his days at Synergy and Mbarara City.

Okwalinga becomes the sixth signing at Kitara after Jude Ssemugabi, Luwalo Skipper, Ibrahim Magandazi, GK Chrispus Kusiima and Frank Zaga Tumwesigye who recently joined the club.

He will be expected to be a big addition to Ssenyondo’s side, that will be competing in the Uganda Premier League next season after making a return.
