Uganda Premier League record champions SC Villa are expected to announce the signing of Charles Batibwe.
The young attacking midfielder trained with the Jogoos on Tuesday at East High in Ntinda.
Batibwe plies his trade with Kiyinda Boys, and he scored three goals as the side best Black Star FC 4-3 on aggregate to earn FUFA Big League promotion.
He is also a student at Kibuli SS and his signing headlines Villa’s intended move to focus more on youth structures.
Those at the club want to develop and give chance to youngsters who still have hunger as the club seeks to end the recycling of players.
Batibwe has featured for Ssingo in Masaza Cup.
SC Villla are also in advanced stages to land experienced midfielder Brian Nkuubi who is also training with the club under Serbian coach Dusan Stojanovic.
