•JT Lady Jaguars Vs Magic Stormers – 7pm
•Nam Blazers Vs KIU Titans, 9pm

Denis Balungu erupted with a hot hand to help KIU Titans ease past Rezlife Saints on Wednesday at YMCA court in Wandegeya.

Balungu hit eight threes, on 8-for-11 shooting from long range to compound Rezlife Saints misery.

Eight threes in a single match are the highest tally for a player in the National Basketball League in recent memory.

And the performance is a reminder of Balungu’s quality for a forward who returned to the side this second round.

Amisi Saidi and Henry Okoth added 16 and 10 points respectively in the Titans win.

Aligawesa Claude Lubega had 13 points while Arnold Kisekka managed 12 in the losing effort for the Saints.

It looked like it was going to be a tightly contested affair when Rezlife led the first 23-18, but the Titans bounced back to open a five-point gap at halftime.

The lead was extended to 14 at the end of the third quarter, and Daniel Najja Juuko’s Saints couldn’t mount any more challenge.

The loss is the 10th in 14 games for Rezlife, leaving the newcomers needing resuscitation and remain strong candidates for the drop.

KIU Titans complete a double over Saints who they beat 74-54 in the first round.

It’s the 13th win for KIU Titans whose only two losses came against City Oilers and UCU Canons.

In the first game, in the Women Division, Akello Winfred put up a monstrous performance highlighted by a 29-point and 16-rebound double double as Miracle Eaglets beat Nabisunsa Girls 84-66.

Brenda Alyano and Mariam Namukwaya added 16 and 15 points respectively for Coach Arnold Katabi’s side.
