Kampala Queens: Kadidi Appointed Head Coach

FUFA Women Super League champions Kampala Queens have confirmed Charles ‘Kadidi’ Ssenyange as the new head coach.

Kadidi was confirmed on Wednesday after signing a two-year contract.

Kadidi gets the job months after parting ways with KCCA FC where he worked was part of the Technical team last season.

“With football, team work brings change when you’re all in the same mind of the journey,” Kadidi is quoted by the Club website.

“Moving forward it’s the results that matters a lot but you have to first work. Girls does not differ so much from the boys football but it’s all about the mental strength and how you approach the players.”

Locally, Kaididi has had stints with Mbarara City FC, Paidha Black Angels FC, Tooro United FC, Kampala Club Marines, UTODA FC, City Lads, and Elite Soccer Academy.

He also previously coached in South Africa and Lesotho.

Kadidi, who is a Caf B licensed coach and played for KCCA for over seven years between 1988 and 1994, will be assisted by Tonny Mawejje and Shafic Mutebi.

Kampala Queens have this week also confirmed signing Uganda Martyrs Lubaga duo of Patience Nabulobi and Catherine Nagadya.

The developments comes as the team is preparing for the up coming CAF Women’s Champions Zonal Qualifiers CECAFA to be hosted in Uganda on 13th -30th august 2023.

Kampala Queens are in group A alongside CBE FC (Ethiopia) Yei Joint Stars (South Sudan) FAD FC (Djibouti) and Bujja Queens from Burundi.
