Uganda Premier League side UPDF FC has completed the signing of Goalkeeper Jimmy Okidi, The-SportsNation has learnt.
Okidi returns to UPDF FC from sister club Young Simba and puts pen to paper on a two years employment contract pending official confirmation.
The custodian was integral for Young Simba in the Buganda Regional League keeping 12 cleansheets in 19 matches.
He guided the Snipers to the Buganda Regional League playoffs after topping the Ssezibwa group unfortunately losing 1-0 to Kiyinda Boys at Lugazi FC Stadium Najjembe.
Okidi previously featured for Simba FC, The Saints (now UPDF FC) and this will be his second stint at the club.
He also played for Gaddafi FC in the Regional League.
Jimmy Okidi becomes the Army side’s third signing after Defender Vuni Bright Joseph and Holding Midfielder Sam Kintu all pending official unveiling by the club.
