James Okello Back As Unbeaten City Oilers Face UPDF

Friday, July 21
•JKL Dolphins Vs Our Saviour, 7pm
•UPDF Tomahawks Vs City Oilers, 9pm

City Oilers will have James Okello back when they take on UPDF Tomahawks on Friday in the National Basketball League at YMCA court in Wandegeya.

Okello missed the previous Oilers game, a 84-41 victory of Rezlife Saints, on Wednesday.

He is been a vital member of the Oilers this season, averaging 6.6 points and 7.5 rebounds.

Also in focus, is Edrine Walujo who will be pointing guns at his former bosses at UPDF.

Walujjo is the only City Oilers player to have played in all 16 games this season since joining from the Army side this season.

The Oilers have won all their 16 games this season and are just six games away from finishing the regular season unbeaten.

Tasked to break that streak is Baker Kyambadde’s UPDF, a side that is fighting relegation themselves.

But UPDF shocked UCU Canons to record a 57-53 win in their last fixture, a result that also ended their five-game losing streak.

They have five wins in 17 games this season, and it promises to be a huge task for them especially against a side that has proved heads and shoulders above everyone in the Division this season.

It’s strong to note that City Oilers beat UPDF 87-53 in the First Round this season, and also eliminated the side with a 3-0 in last season’s Qualifiers.
