ISF World Schools Football: St Noa Girls defeat England to qualify to the quarterfinals

Uganda representatives for girls St Noa School secured a quarter final place after their 5-1 win over England in group E.

Their last 5-1 win over England’s follows the earlier performance of 8-0 win over Chile and 1-1 draw with hosts Morocco.

The development means, St Noa Girls finished first with 7 points in group E.

Jowelia Nagadya scored the opener for St Noa Girls before Esperance Habonimana, Miriam Ayoo added one and Peace Olga Niyomwungere braced.

Meanwhile Lucy Bowman scored the only goal for England’s girls team after goalkeeper Nancy Mandera hawled.

St Noah Girls’ head coach Jimmy Mukubya thanked the team management for the work done.

” We have the momentum and l would wish to thank the players and team management for the work well done”.

Meanwhile in the boys representatives, both Amus College and Kibuli SS will play in the classification games on Wednesday.

Amus College Bukedea managed to defeat Nepal on 26-01 score despite drawing with Chile 0-0 and losing to France 1-3.

For Kibuli SS, they lost both their opening games 1-0 against Qatar and 1-3 against China.
