Gaddafi Wahab Contemplating on Next Move

Midfielder Gaddafi Wahab is weighing up on his options after a successful campaign with Arua Hill.

The midfielder enjoyed a good 2022/23 Uganda premier League season that also saw him named in the best UPL starting XI at the UPL awards.

Throughout the season, Wahab was involved in 13 goals, making 8 assists, scored 5 goals and was nominated among the three best midfielders of the UPL campaign.

“It was great to have been named in the best IX of the season, it was a great feeling to share the stage with so many incredible players in the country,” Wahab said.

“I think its the best season I have ever had in UPL in terms of numbers.”

He says his two best moments last season came in the match against KCCA FC where he had two assists before he was named the man of the match.

The other was against Express FC where he scored a brace and was also named the man of the match.

But despite all the individual success, Wahab who is a free agent, is yet to sign for a team ahead of the League return.

“It’s no more a public secret that my contract has expired, for now I am still enjoying my holidays, I believe I will sign a new contract after but where I will sign is what I don’t know for now.”

The Midfielder is a strong admirer of KCCA and has been loosely linked to a move to Lugogo. There is also a likely chance for him to renew his stay at Arua Hill in case a better offer is tabled.

Wahab joined Arua Hill back then in 2021, and he has been with the Kongolo Boys for the last two seasons.

He has previously featured for a couple of clubs including Wakiso Giants and Onduparaka.
