FUBA Calls Off Games To ‘Fully Support’ Gazelles

FUBA has confirmed postponing games at all league levels in a bid to “fully focus” on the National Women’s Basketball team, the Gazelles.

The games that have been affected are the ones scheduled between July 27 to August 7, 2023.

This, applied to games of the National Basketball League and the Lower Divisions.

FUBA said that this will enable the Basketball fraternity to fully support the Gazelles who are set to represent the country at FIBA Women’s Afrobaket later this month in Kigali.

FUBA confirmed that all league activities shall then resume on August 8 2023.

This means that 26 NBL games, including a blockbuster fixture between City Oilers and KIU Titans on July 28, have been affected.

City Oilers Vs UCU Canons fixture on August 25 is also another mouthwatering clash that has been affected and will be rescheduled.

The League, per NBL fixture, was scheduled to end on August 19, with Playoffs starting on August 25.

But with new adjustments, the League Playoffs may start late-September.
