The game came on the back of Uganda’s 85-80 win on Monday, which is the only team’s win at the tournament.

Uganda will now face hosts Tunisia on Friday in a classification match to determine which team will take spots nine and ten.

Tunisia finished bottom of Pool A which was topped by Mali while Angola, Rwanda and Ivory Coast followed in that order.

The tournament has 10 teams pitted in two groups of five, with the top four in either group reach the Quarterfinals.

Uganda, just like Morocco and Chad won one and lost three, but the Junior Silverbacks were edged out on points difference.

Against Guinea, Uganda were the second best right from the word go and trailed 10-25 after the first quarter.

The lead was extended to 27 points at the halftime break and the Junior Silverbacks did not recover.

Tejan Joel Rugette scored 19 points while Harry Tindyebwa and Aine Christian Turyahabwe added 13 and 10 points respectively in a losing effort.

Araphan Diane (25 points, 15 rebounds) and Mohammed Lamine Toure (25 points, 14 points) had double doubles to lift Guinea.

In the Girls category, Uganda’s Junior Gazelles will return to action on Wednesday against giants Angola in the Quarterfinal.

Morocco Vs Tunisia is the other Quarterfinal while Mali beat Guinea (142-15) and Egypt beat Rwanda (84-15) on Tuesday to book semifinal slots in extraordinary fashion.
