Lanky defender Bright Joseph Vuni has joined Uganda Premier League side UPDF FC, The-SportsNation sources have been told.
Vuni has been a free agent in this transfer window ever since leaving Arua Hill at the end of last season.
However, the defender reportedly held talks with URA FC ahead of a transfer, and he was to receive around Sh10m as sign-on fee.
In dramatic turn of events, when URA FC later called the player to finalize the documentation, it is said that he had already sealed a move to Army-side UPDF!
Close sources claim that Vuni signed for UPDF after URA proved slow in their bid to secure his signature.
And it is said that the defender ended up receiving ‘way too little’ at UPDF compared to what he agreed with URA!
The move to UPDF FC sees Vuni return to Bombo, a side he left in 2021 when he signed for Arua Hill.
Before his time at UPDF, Vuni featured for Mawogola in the Masaza Cup competition and also a graduate at Young Simba, a sister club to UPDF FC
There is no crime in returning home where he started his career!
