Baby Cricket Cranes in hunt for fourth World Cup appearance as Quest begins in Tanzania

The U19 Cricket national team known as the Baby Cricket Cranes will start their quest for a fourth world cup appearance in Tanzania at the U19 Africa World Cup Qualifiers.

Uganda has so far appeared in the U19 Cricket World Cup on three different occasions having made their debut appearance in 2004 and later on 2006 and also 2022. They will take part in the qualifying tournament as one of the top favourite having featured in the 2022 Cricket World Cup. 

Head Coach Emmanuel Isaneza  expect to put up a stellar performance in Tanzania with the Baby Cricket Cranes as he targets to guide the country to a fourth Cricket World Cup appearance.

“We are in the best shape of mind, and the association has supported the team well and I believe we are in the best shape of mind physically, mentally and technically to give our best in Tanzania.” Said head coach Emmanuel Isaneez.

“We hope to take it one game at a time despite the fact that we want to win it, but we also have to respect the other teams like Namibia, which I think is a good side,” he added.

The Baby Cricket Cranes will start their journey in Tanzania against Namibia Tomorrow Sunday 23rd June before facing off with Nigeria on 25th and later line up the East Neighbors staring with Tanzania on 26th and later followed by Kenya on the 28th July.

They will play Sierra Leone on the 29th June.
