The dates for the Uganda Premier League (UPL) End of the Season Awards have been revealed.
The awards, that will recognise excellency for the concluded 2022/23 season, will be held on June 28, 2023 at Kati Kati in Kampala.
The ceremony will climax the season that saw Vipers defend the title on last day after SC Villa’s slip against URA.
Individual awards will be given out, including player of the season which went to Caesar Manzoki (Vipers) last season.
UPL will also give out the Platinum Award to an individual that has – over the years – contributed to the growth and development of the local league.
Categories like Top Scorer, Fair Play and Most Assists will be determined by statistics while others will be determined by the fans and experts.
The fans shall nominate players for the selected categories beginning Monday, June, 12.
The fans nominees shall be reviewed and the Top 3 selected for the fans to select who they think should win the awards.
An expert panel shall also sit and review and determine their winners. The fans online voting shall carry 44% while the expert panel shall carry 56%.
