Vipers SC defeated Police FC by a 1-0 score to be crowned champions of the 2023 Stanbic Uganda Cup trophy in a match played at Aki Bua Stadium in Lira.
Milton Kariisa scored the only goal of the game as the Venoms registered their name in the history books of Ugandan football as they claimed a domestic double to be named ‘Salongo’.
Alex Isabirye Musongola is the man to be celebrated for guiding the Uganda Premier League champions to their first double on the second consecutive attempt as they joined the VEK teams SC Villa, Express and KCCA FC.
