Robert Mukoghotya Switches Clubs in Rwanda

Ugandan striker Robert Mukoghotya has joined Sunrise FC from Mukura Victory in the Rwandan Premier League.

The deal was confirmed on Wednesday via the Club’s social media pages.

Mukoghotya leaves Mukura after a two-year spell, having joined in 2021 when he ended his stay at UPL side BUL.

He scored 13 goals last season as Mukura finished sixth in the League.

The former URA FC and Nyamityobora side, also featured for Buddu in 2016 Masaza Cup.

He will be hoping to help Sunrise FC improve from last season’s performance that saw the side finish 11th with 34 points.

The Club earlier this week unveiled Hassan Muhire as the new coach, while Paul Laab-Garia (Gicumbi), Michel Byukusenge (Gorilla), Patrick Murenzi (Mukura), Isaie Hagenimana (Rugende FC), and Elysa Duhimbaze (Rugende FC) are the other new additions.
