Masaza Cup: Malinga retained at Mawokota, promises to break the 10 years trophy drought

Mawokota announced the appointment of Richard Malinga as their head coach who steer their campaign to glory in the 2023 Masaza Cup tournament.

This was announced during the unveiling of the team and the new sponsor Brooks Agro Farm who has come on board to push Mawokota back to victory in the 2023 campaign at the Saza head quarters in Butoolo.

Richard Malinga who returns to Mawokota on the fourth occasion has promised to help them break the ten years jinx as they last won the Masaza Cup trophy in 2013.

“I am so glad for this chance given to me on the fourth occasion, this shows how much trust the board has got in me, I now task myself as a coach to help Mawokota return to winning ways with all our targets set on winning the 2023 tournament.” Said Richard Malinga

Richard Malinga will work with Erick Kisuze as his assistant coach and Mutumba Adadi as the goalkeeping coach.

Mawokota are delighted to play the opening match of the 2023 Masaza Cup campaign as they will visit Busiro at Wankulukuku Stadium on Saturday 24th in match graced by the Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi.
