Busiro 1-3 Mawokota
Mawokota Ssaza came from a goal down to beat Busiro 3-1 in the opening game of the 2023 Masaza Cup competition at Wankulukuku stadium on Saturday.
Akram Muzanyi had earlier put the defending champions Busiro ahead through a penalty.
But goals from Kisolo John Innocent, Abubaker Mayanja and Emayo Calvin Peter ensured that Mawokota completed a come back.
It was a strong start for Mawokota, who looked lively throughout the entire game.
The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwendi Mutebi graced the event on a day people of both teams turned up in large numbers.

Busiro later had a chance to level matters before half time, But Muzanyi sent his penalty wide after Herbert Kibirango had been fouled in the area.
In the second half, it was all for Mawokota who maintained their tik tak football.
They continued with their dorminance and denied Busiro any chance to find another goal.
And in the 80th, Emayo put the icing on the cake with the game’s third in what was the last nail into Busiro’s coffin.
The win, first for Mawokota puts them at the top of Muganzirwaza group.
It was also a strong start for Richard Malinga, who is in charge of the team for a fourth consecutive season.
For Busiro, who are defending champions, they will need to bounce back more so if they are to advance through the group stages.
