Kampala Queens Move To Lugogo in New KCCA FC Partnership

KCCA FC and Kampala Queens have entered into a three-year partnerships, the two clubs have announced.

This was inevitable for KCCA FC as they were required to have a partnership with a Women club to participate in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.

Approaching the deadline due June 30, CAF requesting clubs to present a letter Member Association confirming the existence of Clubs Women’s first team and that the team must be registered in official competitions played at National, regional or local level recognised by the Member Association.

If not, a club had to present a written agreement between the license applicant (club) with another entity who operates the Women team, and KCCA have gone for this.

“The partnership has KCCA FC agreeing to take on Kampala Queens FC as its sole women football team while Kampala Queens equally takes on KCCA FC as its sole men’s team for all official engagements including FUFA, CAF and FIFA Competitions,” reads a statement from KCCA FC.

Notably, Kampala Queens will use KCCA FC’s Omondi Stadium as its official hosting grounds.

This sees the Women Super League champions shift base from IUIU Kabojja which acted as it’s home ground.

The partnership will also see KCCA FC provide technical and knowledge exchange to Kampala Queens FC’s technical team.

It’s strong to note that Kampala Queens will also represent Uganda at the CAF Women’s Champions League zonal qualifiers.
