Jackson Magera Back at KCCA FC

Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC are said to have finalized talks with coach Jackson Magera to return to the club.

Magera, who recently parted ways with SC Villa, will work under head coach Sergio Tragui.

Traguil recently named Luis Manuel Correira Guerreiro as his Assistant while Eduardo Lazaro Ramon Leiva as the Strength and Conditioning Coach.

It’s strong to note that Magera worked under head coach Mike Mutebi since 2016 before his exit in 2021.

He then joined SC Villa as an assistant coach for Greek Petros Koukouras.

Last year, Magera was named the head coach after the Greek’s departure.

And he almost led the Jogoos to their first League title since 2004, before the last day of the season defeat against URA.

Magera, an expert in Youthful Football, has been part of KCCA’s technical bench since 2016 before exit in recent reshuffles.

Magera guided Uganda U15 team to CECAFA U15 championship with a 4-0 win over Kenya in the 2019 final.

The former Idudi FC and Wandegeya Old Tymers player has had spells as an assistant coach at Uganda U17 (Kobs) as well.
