Uganda Premier League New entrants Kitara FC are in negotiations to sign UPDF FC Forward Ivan Ahimbisibwe The Sports Nation have learnt.
The Forward is a free agent after the end of his contract with UPDF.
Ahimbisibwe has been linked to BUL, Arua Hill and Rwanda’s Musanze, but the deal to Kitara is ripe and will be announced soon.
He joined the Army side from Nyamityobora and signed a two years employment contract.
At UPDF, he scored 20 goals in all competitions and three of those coming in the Uganda Cup.
Last season he was the club’s top scorer with seven goals.
Once the deal materializes, Ahimbisibwe will link up with his former Coach Brian Ssenyondo who was unveiled as the Head Coach at the Hoima based side earlier this month.
Kitara FC were promoted to the Uganda Premier League after clinching the FUFA Big League title.
