Ibrahim Kirya Refutes Joining Kiyovu Reports

Coach Ibrahim Kirya has rubbished reports that he has joined Rwandan side Kiyovu SC.

This is in response to last week’s stories that claimed that Kirya was to work as Petros Koukouras’ Assistant coach.

“The news of joining Kiyovu in Rwanda are not true, I am around and not attached to any team,” Kirya posted via his Facebook account.

Kirya was recently appointed as the coach of Masaza Cup champions Busiro, but he still remains available for a club job.

Last season, he was the assistant coach of Jackson Magera at SC Villa and the two almost guided the sleeping giants to their first league title since 2004 before falling to URA on the last day of the season.

Kirya helped Wakiso Giants earn Uganda Premier League promotion, and has had stints with URA, Mbarara City, Tooro United among others.

He was also the head coach of Buddu as the side lost to Busiro in Masaza Cup final earlier this year.
