Hamza Lutalo Leaves Kampala Queens after Two Seasons

FUFA Women Super League Champions Kampala Queens have officially parted ways with coach Hamza Lutalo after two seasons.

The new developments were confirmed by the club on Saturday morning this week.

“Thank you for your memories and all the best in your upcoming endeavours historical coach, a statement reads from the Club.

Lutalo leaves the Kabojja based club after spending two seasons having replaced Isma Mukiibi way back 2021.

And on his departure, he leaves a happy man having guided the club to their first ever League title in the just concluded season of the 2022/23 Women Super League.

Even in the 2021/22 his first season at the club, Lutalo helped the club finish second, where they dropped the title on the last day to eventual League champions She Corporate last year.

Despite all the success, Lutalo has been criticized by many KQ faithful for the way his side has been grinding results given the quality of players at the club.

Following his departure, reports have it that former Simba Queens coach Charles Ayieko Mbuzi will be the next gaffer ahead of the zonal Qualifiers of the CAF Women’s champions League.

The club, in a bid to strengthen their squad have already signed the Kawempe Muslim trio of Shakira Nyanagahirwa, Hadija Nandago and Samalie Nakacwa.
