Former SC Villa head coach Petros Koukouras has been appointed as the new coach for Rwanda Premier League side Kiyovu sports club.
“Today we have signed head coach Koukouras Petros,” reads a statement from Kiyovu.
Koukouras joins the Rwandan side after just a year, ever since leaving Uganda premier League side SC Villa.
He was at Villa throughout the 2021/22 season before mutually parting ways with the Joggos at the start of the just concluded season.
At Kiyovu, he replaces Alain Andre Landert, who recently resigned from his role as head coach.
And the club, recently parted ways with a couple of players and technical staff members, including Ugandan born forward Erisa Ssekisambu.
In the just concluded Rwanda Premier League season of the 2022/23 Season, Kiyovu finished second level on points with champions APR (63), in what was a disappointing season for them.
And Koukouras first task will be to put things right at the club and also help them lift the title in the coming season.
