BUL FC: Goalkeeper Kalyowa Among Three Released

Uganda Premier League side BUL FC has confirmed the departure of three players.

The said players include goalkeeper Emmanuel Kalyowa, forward Richard Wandyaka and Ivan Wani.

And BUL made their departure official via a released statement on Monday morning.

“Three players have been given the green light to leave the Eastern Giants after their employment contracts with the club expired, reads a statement from the Club.

“They include; Richard Wandyaka, Ivan Wani and goalkeeper Emmanuel Kalyowa”

Kalyowa now leaves the Jinja based side for the third time having played for the club between 2015 and 2017 before he returned in 2021.

He was a key player under Alex Isabirye, as they beat Vipers 3-1 to win the Uganda Cup title, making history at the club.

For Wandyaka he leaves as one of the longest serving players at the club having played six seasons for the Eastern Giants since joining in 2017 from URA.

He scored four goals and made a couple of assists last season and was also part of the BUL FC that won the Uganda Cup title in 2021/22 season.

For Wani, he also leaves after two years ago having joined the side in 2021.

But the South Sudan International has been limited to playing time and it was evident as he
scored one goal the just concluded campaign.

BUL, who endured a poor spell after the departure of Isabirye last season are seeking to assemble a more competitive side ahead of the incoming season.

And reports have it that Mbale Hereos head coach Abbey Kikomeko Bogere will be named the next coach at the Jinja based side come next season.
