Bright Vuni Confirms Arua Hill Exit, Nears URA Switch

Arua Hill SC defender Bright Joseph Vuni has bid farewell to the West Nile based club.

Vuni leaves the Kongolo Boys after two years and he made his departure official on Friday via his social media handles.

“Today I say goodbye to a magnificent club as it is Arua Hill SC .I want to thank the club for helping me become a better footballer and for making me feel at home during my time here, reads part of a statement from Vuni.

“About 2years ago Arua Hill SC A Club that will remain in my heart, gave me the amazing opportunity”

The defender also spared some kind words to the club, the fans for granting him the opportunity.

“After this year I can only say thank you to the club, to the fans that have supported me since the first day I wore this jersey and of course thank you and good luck to my team-mates, who helped me settle in since day one not only as a teammates but as friends,” Vuni wrote.

“Today I say goodbye to Arua Hill SC but I take with me many memories, lessons and great moments that will live with me forever. It has been one of the best in my football career.

“At last I want to wish Arua Hill SC many success.”

Vuni had joined the club way back in 2021 from UPDF FC.

During his time at Arua Hill, he formed a formidable partnership with his teammate Rashid Toha for the past two seasons.

Him, together with Toha have been key players at the Charles Livingstone Mbabazi coached side.

Even in his first season at the club, he was norminated on the best defender of the season in the 2021/22 campaign.

That performance attracted a number of clubs, to hunt for his signature.

And following his departure, it is believed that Vuni has already agreed terms to join URA FC with only official unveiling pending.

Before his time at UPDF, Vuni featured for Mawogola in the Masaza Cup competition and also a graduate at Young Simba, a sister club to UPDF FC.

Following his departure, a couple of senior players at Arua Hill are said to be on their way out, including defender Toha and midfielder Allan Mugalu.
