World Cup: FiFA unveils the 2026 world cup logo, Fans blast it as worst

The Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) has officially unveiled the 2026 World Cup log. The logo was unveiled by FIFA President Gianni Infantino alongside the two time world cup winner Ronaldo Nazario.

The unveiling took place at Griffith Observatory on Los Angeles on Thursday 18th May under the campaign ‘WE ARE 26’ which aims to encourage the people, places and communities to play an active role in launching the tournament.

“It’s a moment when three countries and an entire continent collectively say: ‘We are united as one to welcome the world and deliver the biggest, best and most inclusive FIFA World Cup ever.’ as per FIFA.

“The tournament will enable each host country and participating team to write their own page in the history books of FIFA World Cups, and this unique brand is a major step on that road to 2026.”

The 16 host cities will each have their own individual brands developed by FIFA with more color and iconography to make each logo feel unique to the cities hosting the World Cup.

“While we celebrate here in LA together tonight, an entire continent celebrates that the whole world will unite in North America for the greatest show on Earth in just three years’ time,” Infantino said.

The 2026 world cup will take place in the 16 cities of the three North American countries which are Canada, Mexico and United States.

The 2026 world cup is an expanded tournament which will have more 16 teams to make 48 teams from the 32 which have been participating since France 1998 tournament.

The 2026 world cup logo is dubbed as one of the worst ever logos to be presented by FIFA since the 1994 world cup tournament in USA.
