Uganda Premier League: Oduparaka come from two goals down to deny KCCA at Lugogo

KCCA FC 2-2 Oduparaka – MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo.

Oduparaka performed a late drama as they came two goals behind to pick up their first point against KCCA at MTN Omondi stadium.

Moses Waiswa and Allan Okello scored for KCCA while Emmanuel Oketch scored brace for Oduparaka.

Saidi Mayanja had put KCCA in an early lead in the 11th minute only for assistant referee to call for an offside.

Mohammed Shaban and Waiswa Moses could find one for KCCA in the first half but failed to register on target.

In the second half, KCCA FC came demanding and this paid off in the early minutes.

Waiswa Moses scored a direct free kick in the 53rd minute after winger Saidi Mayanja was fouled.

11 minutes later, Allan Okello doubled the lead after Julius Poloto brushed in Waiswa Moses’ long ball.

Despite being led by 2-0, Oduparaka didn’t give up as they continued to creat chances that would earn them goals.

Nathan Oloro had a chance to console for Oduparaka only for his free kick to hit a woodwork.

In the 88th minute, Emmanuel Oketch scored for Oduparaka before he completed his brace in the added minutes.

The results means, KCCA remained 2nd on the Uganda Premier League log with 45 points from 23 games, one behind SC Villa.

On the other side, Oduparaka remained at the buttom of the league with 15 points from 24 games.

KCCA will return to action on 5th Friday as they will be visiting Vipers in a do or die affair
