A labour day outing in Wakiso saw the hosts Wakiso Giants pick up a vita point in a goalless draw against BUL FC in the Startimes Uganda Premier League match played at Kabaka Kyabagu Stadium.
Wakiso Giants playing at home looked more of a threat in the first stanza of the game but they failed to beat a well organized defence of BUL FC with their only chance at goal falling to Shariph Kimbowa but he couldn’t beat goalkeeper Saidi Keni.
BUL FC came back a stronger side in second half but they failed to have patience in front of goal as second half substitute Okello squandered a glorious opportunity which could have resulted into a goal after he rattled past defender Onega, Rahmat Ssenfuka made a brilliant recovery to put a timely block on Okello’s shot.
Goalkeeper Bashir Ssekagya made a double save to deny Anthony Mayanja late in second half.
BUL FC continued to struggle under head coach Simeon Masaba as they are yet to win a game in the second round of the season but they looked promising in attack though they failed to put the ball in the back of the net.
They have now picked up their third consecutive draw in the league after bouncing from two consecutive league loses.
BUL FC currently sit in the 6th position on the log with 33 points from the 24 games played whereas Wakiso Giants currently occupy the 8th position with 32 points from 25 league games.
