Power Seek To End First Round on High

Friday, May 26
•KIU Rangers Vs KCCA Leopards, 7pm
•Power Vs Our Saviour, 9pm

Power will be hoping to end the first round of the National Basketball League on a high when they take on Our Saviour at Lugogo.

It has a been a poor campaign so far for the five time NBL Champions having lost six in 10 games.

They come into this game however on an impressive run after picking two wins in a row.

They however needed overtime to stop KCCA Panthers 84-80, in a game one could think they could have sealed earlier.

Only Guellord Mobanza (13) is averaging points per game at the club and that shows the inconsistencies in their roster.

Veteran Isaac Afidra has also had a couple of good games but all those around him, including Samad Imran, Stephen Otoa, Elvis Ssentongo and Yat Riem among others must step up.

Against Our Saviour, they face the most in-form side in the league having won five games in a row.

That run include victories over UPDF, Kampala Rockets, KCCA Panthers, UCU Canons and Ndejje Angels.

And it’s strong to note that, last season, Our Saviour beat Power 68-55 in the first round.
