Masaza Cup: Busiro FC officially unveil Kirya as their new head coach

The Masaza Cup reigning champions Busiro have officially announced the appointment of Ibrahim Kirya as their new head coach for the 2023 Masaza Cup tournament.

The unveiling took place at Kabaka Kyabagu Stadium in Wakiso where Busiro has confirmed to host their 2023 Masaza Cup games as they upgrade their pitch at Sentema Ssaza ground by the chairman Joseph Ddamulira Kawuma.

Kirya who doubles as the SC Villa assistant coach replaces departed Simon Peter Mugerwa who joined the money bags of Buddu ahead of the 2023 tournament, Mugerwa helped Busiro to their first ever Masaza Cup trophy.

Ibrahim Kirya will assisted by Wasswa Godfrey and Micheal Kabali alongside Sadam Hussein who retained his position as the goalkeeping coach as they are tasked to defend the Masaza Cup trophy they won early in February.

“I am humbled by the appointment as head coach of Busiro Ssaza football team. Together with my working team, we are ready to deliver the results for Busiro and defend the trophy which was won last season,” said Ibrahim Kirya 

Ibrahim Kirya helped Budu Ssaza team reach the finals of 2022 though he lost out to Busiro but he has assured the fans to help the team defend the trophy.
