Vincent Katutsi and Anne Abeja were the overall winners at the concluded Captain’s Bell Golf tournament.
These, among other winners from various categories, were recognised at the Par-72 Uganda Golf Course in Kitante.
The event was for another year running sponsored by Absa Bank who improved their package to Sh133m.
Katutsi scored a round of 66 net off handicap 10 to stun a big field of 260 players.
Uganda Ladies Golf Union Former President Abeja returned a score of 69 nett to win the Female Category.
Marvin Kibirige who became the third player to reach the course record of 63 at the Club, came at the top of the pros who competed for the kitty of Sh10m.
“This is a point of pride for Absa Uganda as the tournament’s official sponsor and speaks to our drive towards being an active proponent for the growth of sport in Uganda and the continent,” briefly commented Mumba Kalifunguwa, Managing Director Absa Bank.
