Gaddafi, UPDF Fire Blanks in Kakindu

Friday 19th May

Gaddafi FC 0-0 UPDF
Onduparaka 1-0 Blacks Power
Express 1-0 Maroons

Gaddafi FC and UPDF played out a goalless draw at the Kakindu stadium in the Startimes Uganda Premier League.

It’s not the result that UPDF craved for in their desperate need for maximum points to see off relegation.

However, relegated Onduparaka did them a favour after edging their competitor Blacks Power 1-0 at the Greenlight Stadium.

The Army side are four points above Blacks Power who have two games left compared their last on Saturday.

Brian Ssenyondo side will hope to stay in the league with a win over Onduparaka on the final day.

For Gadaffi FC, it’s a disappointing end to the season at home, they have failed to win any of their home matches in the second round.

The Soldier Boys have so far only won once in 2023 away to Bright Stars.

In four attempts, Gadaffi FC have failed to pick any victory over UPDF with just two draws and two defeats.

Gadaffi FC are 11th on the log with 31 points after 27 matches while UPDF are 12th with 27 points after 27 matches.
