FUFA Women Super League side Uganda Martyrs WFC will face off with FUFA Elite side She Maroons in this year’s FUFA Women’s Cup final.
The two sides took care of their respective opponents following their second leg fixtures held on Sunday this week.
Uganda Martyrs ejected Kawempe Muslim 1-0 on aggregate despite their goalless draw at Kawempe on Sunday in the second leg.
They had earlier beaten the Kawempe based side 1-0 in the first meeting, courtesy of Viola Namuddu’s lone strike.
And the Martyrs, who finished third in the league will be seeking for silverware to end their season on a high.
Elsewhere, in the game held at Kampala quality stadium, She Maroons, despite their 2-1 defeat to Asubo Gafford, they advanced 3-2 on aggregate to the finals.
They had earlier beaten Asubo 2-0 at in the first leg meeting at Luzira prisons grounds.
And just like Uganda Martyrs, She Maroons, who are also leaders in the Elite league will be targeting success in the finals in Kumi.
This year’s finals will be held at theBishop Maraka college grounds on June 10th , 2023.
It’s strong to note that the FUFA Women’s Cup returned this year after missing out on the past two years and this will be the fourth edition of this tournament.
