FUFA Big League: Kitara, Mbarara City, NEC win to keep promotion hopes alive as NEC lose at Bugolobi

Kitara FC 5-1 Soroti FC.

NEC FC 1-2 Lugazi FC.

Mbarara City FC 5-0 Adjumani TC FC.

Kataka FC 2-0 Jinja North FC.

Calvary FC 0-0 Booma FC.

Police FC 5-1 Northern Gateway.

Ndejje University 1-1 Kaaro karungi.

Kyetume FC 2-1 Luweero United.

Yet again Kitara FC, Mbarara City and Police won their respective games to keep their Promotion hopes alive as NEC was defeated at their home ground.

Kitara FC defeated Soroti City FC 5-1 at Kigaaya playgrounds.

Paul Mucureezi scored a brace while George Senkaaba, Edison Agondeze and Paddy Muhumuza all score one for Sam Ssimbwa’s side.

In the other game, Mbarara City comfortably edged Adjuman TC FC (5-0) at Kakyeka Stadium.

The results means Adjuman TC FC joined Northern Gateway as the two confirmed clubs to be relegated.

Striker Henry Kitegenyi scored an hat trick while the other two were scored by Seiri Arigumaho and Jamie Nvule.

In the other game played, NEC FC lost to Lugazi by a 1-2 score in their home playing ground Bugolobi Coffee Grounds.

NEC looked frustrated as they both missed the services of head coach Micheal Lukyamuzi who was at suspension and their captain Marvin Kavuma who got injured in the 25th minute.

Gerald Ogwet scored a brace for Lugazi in the first half while Geoffrey Sserunkuma pulled one back for NEC in the second half.

The results means, Kitara remained on top with 55 points, Mbarara City remained 2nd with 54 points, NEC remained 3rdwith 51 while Police fourth with 50 points
