Both Ugandans Khalid Aucho and Ismeal Watenga are to face off each other in semifinals of CAF Confederation cup as both teams they play for progressed through.
Tanzanian champions Young Africans where Aucho plays from eliminated Nigeria’s Rivers United on aggregate 2-0 to reach Semifinals for their first time.
Fiston Mayele scored a brace for Young Africans in Nigeria while the return leg in Tanzania ended a goalless draw.
On the other side, South African giants Marumo Gallants where Watenga plays from eliminated Egyptian side Pyramids 2-1 on aggregate to reach Semis.
Marumo Gallants defeated Pyramids 1-0 in South Africa while the first leg ended 1-1 in Cairo.
Other teams that made it through to Semifinals were ASEC Mimosas from Ivory Coast and US Alger from Algeria.
ASEC Mimosas eliminated Tunisian side US Monastir on aggregate 2-1.
US Alger eliminated Morocco’s side AS FAR on aggregate 4-3.
ASEC Mimosas will be taking on US Alger in Semis as Young Africans will be taking on Marumo Gallants.
