Preview: Time is running up for Blacks Power

Blacks Power will be desperate for maximum points as they welcome URA at the Aki bua stadium in Lira in their quest to save their UPL status.

Time is running up for the Lira based club, who are currently second from the bottom on the log.

They have collected only 19 points from 23 games, and that only sums up how poor they have been in their maiden UPL season.

And in their latest game, they were humbled by UPDF 3-0 at Bombo, in a game they looked poor throughout.

The home game against URA will be seen as an opportunity to bounce back as they seek to save their season.

Coached by Hussein Mbalangu, Blacks Power must now take each game like a final if they are to survive relegation in all their remaining league fixtures.

URA on the other hand will be seeking to bounce back against relegation threatened Blacks Power side.

The Tax men suffered a 3-2 loss against Maroons, in what was their second defeat ever since returning to Mehta Stadium Lugazi.

They now take a long trip to Lira, against a side that is fighting for life.

“We don’t undermine them, we respect them since they are also a good side. We are motivated as players and we want to pick maximum points in Lira, Joshua Lubwama told the club’s media on Tuesday.

The task at hand for Sam Timbe’s men is now to finish in a better position and they must start on that journey with the visit to Blacks Power on wednesday.

Stats
