KCCA FC will be seeking for revenge when they take a visit to Bright Stars in the quarter final game to be held at Kavumba Recreation grounds.

The Morley Byekwaso coached team were ejected out last year at the same stage by Bright Stars courtesy of Marvin Youngman’s strike, a goal that seperated the two sides at Lugogo.

The visit to Kavumba comes at a time when their head coach Byekwaso is under pressure following a poor run of results at the club.

They have drawn three consecutive league games with the latest a 1- all draw against UPDF at Lugogo recently.

And to many KCCA faithful, they showed their discontent in the UPDF game and turned up in black attires to express their disatisfaction with the team’s performance.

But Byekwaso revealed that they will go for revenge against Bright Stars on Sunday.

“We have trained so well and we know our opponent so well, we need to get back to winning ways as we have not won in our last three games. They knocked us out of the Uganda Cup last year and we know the kind of threat they possess but we have made corrections since then, he told the club’s media on Friday.

On Sunday, KCCA will be boosted by the return of defender Geoffrey Wasswa from suspension and left back Mustafa Kizza is fully fit.

Given the poor run of results, Byekwaso will task his men to stage a better performance so as to progress to the next stage of this competition.

On the other hand, the hosts Bright Stars will be seeking to shock the Lugogo based side again this year when they host them at Kavumba.

The Stars eliminated the Morley Byekwaso coached side last year at the knock out stage thanks to Marvin Youngman’s strike.

And even in the league this season, they handed them their first league defeat last year in December.

Speaking ahead of the game, their head coach Asaph Mwebaze revealed that this is their biggest game and there will be no room to slip.

“This is probably our biggest game of the season so far and could define how the rest of our season turns out because winning it would also re-ignite our fortunes in the league and thus we will give it our all, he told the club’s media on Saturday.

On Sunday, Bright Stars only worry will be their goal drought and also their winless streak of four games in the league.

But they will bank on the fact that they beat the same at the knock out stage and also their home advantage.
